Granola from San Jose

I'm not sure of the original creator, but this
recipe came to me via San Jose

Cranberry Almond Granola

Heat oven to 350 degrees
Mix in a large bowl:

4 ½ c old-fashioned oats, uncooked
½ c sliced almonds
½ c raw sunflower seeds
2 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp salt, optional

In a separate bowl whisk:

¼ c maple syrup or honey
¼ c apple juice
¼ c melted butter

Pour liquid over oat mix and stir to coat
thoroughly.

Spread mixture in a  15x12 inch baking pan.  
Bake for about 25 min, stirring twice, until
brown.

Cool mixture in the pan.  Stir in:

½ c dried cranberries
½ c raisins

Store in an airtight container
